FUSE

FUSE

THOR Digital Controller powered relays are jointly fused (4 relays) at 6 amps. THOR L-800 has two inline fuses, the THOR L-400 has one inline fuse.

THOR Digital Controllers ship using a 5x20 mm 6 amp cartridge fuse

Manufacturer part number: Eaton Bussmann  BK/GMA-6-R

If 4 or all relays cease operation this is typical of a blown fuse. If a single relay is not working this would indicate an issue other than the fuse. If a fuse is believed to have failed, inspect all connections and attached equipment to identify the source that caused the fuse to blow.

Fuses are installed in a spring loaded inline fuse holder located under the Internal Black Protective Cover.  The inline fuse holder(s) is located at the lower right hand side of the Thor Digital Controller.

To replace fuse:

1. There are live circuits inside of the controller even when the controller switch is in the OFF (non-lit)
position! The black internal panel must NEVER be removed before power to the controller is
DISCONNECTED!

2. After power is disconnected, remove single screw holding black cover in place

3. Locate the inline fuse holder, unscrew the two piece section. Note the fuse holder is spring loaded fuse may "pop out" when cartridge is opened. Do NOT remove the connecting wires from the power blocks.

4. Remove damaged fuse and install new fuse and screw the fuse holder together

5. Replace black cover

6. Re-connect power and power on controller

7. Test relays served by fuse

If you are having difficulty replacing the fuse while it is wired, DO NOT REMOVE FROM THE RELAY WIRING
If needed, remove the fuse from the Red Power Block, shown in the picture below, replace the fuse and reinstall on the Red Power Block.
