THOR comes with MODBUS TCP/IP native to the operating system and ships with Ethernet communications on board. The default status of the onboard MODBUS server is Inactive and must be turned on to operate.
Operator will require a knowledge of MODBUS programming to configure the customer's onsite MODBUS network to accept MODBUS TCP/IP communication from THOR. ERP does not provide MODBUS integration support.
MODBUS communication is one direction - outbound from the controller. MODBUS TCP/IP cannot be used to program the controller.
Attached to this article is the THOR MODBUS programming supplement.
