Configuring a Value (setpoint) feed

Value Feed, Setpoint Feed

The Value Feed, sometimes referred to as a Setpoint Feed, drives the output by the value provided by a target input (i.e. a probe) to determine when an output (relay) turns on or off.

Configuration options
Enable - Slide the Toggle to GREEN, this will enable the output.
Description - User provided Name for the output. This will be displayed in the user interface
Input -  From the drop down menu select the probe that the relay will read to drive relay actions
Setpoint - the value at which the relay will take action
Direction - HIGHER & LOWER are the two options. Setting the direction to HIGHER will cause the relay to engage when the Input Value is below the Setpoint. As the value climbs and rises above the Setpoint the relay will shut off.
Setting the Direction to LOWER will cause the relay to engage when the Input Value is above the setpoint. As the value falls and drops below the Setpoint the relay will shut off.
Deadband - This is sometimes referred to as Offset. This is the value above and below the setpoint that the relay will take action.
Period & Feed on Percentage - These two items work together allowing the user to modulate the output as it drives to the setpoint. The defaults are:
PERIOD = 1440 (this is the number of minutes in a day)
Feed on Percentage = 100 (this is a percentage)
At the default setting the relay will NOT modulate. The relay will run at full as it drives towards the Setpoint.  The Period & Feed on percentage creates a cycle time allowing for feed then pausing before evaluating the condition, then stopping or repeating the Period. The pause allows time for the chemical dispersed to circulate in the the closed loop. Utilization of this feature is effective in reducing overfeeding.

See the following article for more information regarding the PERIOD and FEED on PERCENTAGE feature.

Digital Lockout - From the drop down select digital outputs that will be locked out (not able to run) while the relay you are configuring is running
Analog Lockouts - From the drop down select analog outputs that will be locked out (not able to run) while the relay you are configuring is running
Limits - The Limits option will shut down an output once it has exceeded the permitted run time of the selected FREQUENCY (Hourly or Daily) the LIMIT is expressed as MINUTES.  If a LIMIT is configured as Frequency = DAILY and TIME = 250 .
In the event the relay runs for 250 minutes between Midnight to Midnight the relay will be shut down for the balance of the current DAY. At midnight the timer will reset and the relay will be able to run up to 250 minutes for the then current day.
High & Low Alarm - These optional alarms measure time. Alarms may be configured for Active (running too long) or Inactive (running for less than expected)

HINT - If you wish to temporarily disable the feed while maintaining the programming, starting at the summary page, from the drop down menu (three dots) under ACTIONS select EDIT. From the main page section Slide the ENABLE TOGGLE to off (dark gray). This will disable the Output until the toggle is set back to ON (Green)
