How to configure a PERIOD FEED

PERIOD FEED

The PERIOD FEED is used to drive an output using a PERIOD (cycle time) and percentage of the defined PERIOD called Feed on Percentage. The PERIOD FEED is time based and does not rely on a sensor input.

To configure the PERIOD FEED complete the following:
Enable - Slide the Toggle to GREEN, this will enable the output
Description - User provided Name for the output. This will be displayed in the user interface
Period (minutes) - A duration of time expressed as MINUTES. This value must be greater then 5 and cannot exceed 1440
Feed on Percentage - the percentage of the PERIOD the output will run. After competing the percentage the relay will pause until the start of the next period. The percentage must be a number between 1 and 100
Digital Lockout - From the drop down select digital outputs that will be locked out (not able to run) while the relay you are configuring is running
Analog Lockouts - From the drop down select analog outputs that will be locked out (not able to run) while the relay you are configuring is running

Examples of the PERIOD FEED configuration and related operation
Period=10  &  Feed on Percentage=50
This will cycle every 10 minutes
The relay will run for 5 minutes then pause for 5 minutes

Period=15  &  Feed on Percentage=65
This will cycle every 15 minutes
The relay will run for 9 minutes 45 seconds then pause for 5 minutes and 25 seconds

HINT  - Generally, Period will not be longer than 30 minutes. Be aware of how longer PERIOD times and Higher percentage settings will operate.  A PERIOD Feed with a Feed on Percentage Value of 100 will cause the relay to run continuously, the relay will never stop.

See examples below:
Period=600 &  Feed on Percentage=50
This will cycle every 600 minutes (10 hours)
The relay will run for 300 minutes (5 hours) then pause for 300 minutes (5 hours)

Period=540 &  Feed on Percentage=10
This will cycle every 540 minutes (9 hours)
The relay will run for 54 minutes then pause for 486 minutes (8 hours 6 minutes)

Period=5 &  Feed on Percentage=100
This will cycle every 5 minutes
The relay will run for 5 minutes there is no pause as percentage of PERIOD is 100.
